OUR REGION'S
PLAN

West Central Wisconsin RPC
Regional Comprehensive
Plan

Welcome to the website for the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's Regional Comprehensive Plan .  The plan encompasses the Counties of Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Polk, and St. Croix.  As required by Wisconsin Statutes 66.0309(9), regional planning commissions are required to develop and adopt a master plan for the physical development of their regions which must contain the nine elements under the State Comprehensive Planning Law.

The plan vision and recommendations were created in bottom-up fashion, largely from the review of existing county and local plans throughout the region, as well as from the input of advisory groups and participating communities.  The plan was officially adopted on September 9, 2010. Click on the "Plan Documents" link at left to see the hard work and dedication that representatives from counties, towns, villages, cities, and staff put forth to bring this effort to fruition.

Again, welcome to the website for our region's comprehensive plan.

    2030 VISION STATEMENT

West Central Wisconsin is a region of sustainable and identifiable communities working cooperatively and globally with strong social, physical, and economic linkages.  Our cities and villages are vibrant, and our rural character and diverse resources are preserved.
