Menomonie Urban Sewer Service Area Plan Update

WCWRPC is currently collaborating with local municipalities to update the Sewer Service Area (SSA) Plan for the Menomonie Urban Area. It is the current goal to complete the draft plan by late summer of 2026.​

The SSA Study Area is the area for which data is being gathered; it is not the SSA boundary.

 

The SSA Boundary is the area in which sewered growth might reasonably be expected to occur within the next 20 years.  The SSA Boundary shown in the map above is from the outdated 1998 SSA Plan.

NOTE: ​​​The current SSA Plan is very outdated and the SSA boundary is based on growth projections through 2015.  For example, the population for the City of Menomonie has exceeded the projections in the 2015 SSA Plan.

Public Comment Invited on Draft Menomonie Urban Sewer Service Area (SSA) Plan Update

The draft SSA Plan update is now complete, and a public hearing is scheduled for July 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Menomonie City Hall.    Written comments by mail or email are also invited and must be received by WCWRPC no later than 12:00 PM on July 17, 2026.   For more information, including weblinks to download the draft plan, please view the following announcement at the City of Menomonie website.
